If you are not completely satisfied, you may return your purchase within 30 days of receipt. We will gladly exchange or refund the purchase price excluding shipping and handling costs . If you were provided with free or flat-rate shipping and handling, we will need to deduct our actual cost of shipping and handling from your refund. However, should you have to return something because of an error on our part, all shipping costs are on us, of course.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept refunds for products that have been assembled or modified. Additionally, certain products cannot be returned. If you have any questions about whether a product can be returned, please call us at 419-865-8807, or email us at support@thehomedecoratingstore.com.

Canadian Orders:

There are additional customs fees associated with the receipt of your package. These are imposed by the Canadian government and other entities and are NOT associated with TheHomeDecoratingStore. We are not responsible for these fees and cannot advise you ahead of time what they will be since they are not imposed or collected by us. We cannot prepay these fees for you. Please be advised that your package will not be delivered unless you have the funds available to pay for these brokerage fees and taxes. Additionally, if you have us ship a package to Canada, and it is refused and sent back to us, all associated fees will be billed to your credit card. Restocking fees will also apply.

Damaged Orders:

Our products are well-packaged to avoid damage during shipping. However, sometimes damage does occur. If an item looks damaged, or has missing parts, please notify us right away.

Freight Shipments:

Large items must be shipped by freight. If you receive a freight shipment, please inspect the packaging carefully. Even if the package appears only slightly damaged, write Package Damaged on the paperwork when you sign for the delivery. This is for your protection in the event of damage and is very important.

If the package looks significantly damaged, you should refuse delivery. The damaged package will then be returned to us and we will send you a new one. If you do refuse delivery, please notify us so that we can expect the return shipment. If you have already accepted the package, please notify us right away. Freight claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery. All returned products must be in the original packaging.

Backordered Items:

If an item you ordered is on backorder, we will notify you of the expected delivery date. If you do not want the item to be backordered and wish to cancel your order, you must notify us prior to your order being shipped. If you do not notify us that you want to cancel, we will ship the item to you as soon as it becomes available. Your credit card will not be billed until the item is ready to ship. Please Note: If you fail to notify us that you want to cancel your order and the item ships to you, we will have to deduct the shipping charges plus a 20% restocking fee from your refund. If you were provided with free or flat-rate shipping our actual costs for shipping and handling will be deducted from your refund.

Return Instructions:

Please email support@thehomedecoratingstore.com and include your name, address, original order number, and what product(s) you wish to return. Or call us at 419-865-8807. We will give you a return authorization number and a return address.

Wrap the package carefully. All returned products must be in original condition and packaging. Otherwise, additional charges may be applied.

Return the product using your preferred shipping method to the address we provide you. This may be to our main office store or to a distribution center.

Save your return tracking number, and if possible, email it to us so that we can track the return. It is important that you save the tracking number and that you insure the return package in case there are any issues during transit.

Please Note: Unless the return or exchange is due to an error on our part, we cannot refund shipping and handling or gift wrap charges and we must charge a 20% restocking fee. If you were provided with free or flat-rate shipping our actual costs for shipping and handling will be deducted from your refund.

Upon receipt of the item, we will issue a credit to the credit card used for the purchase.
